What is a Data Center?
Data Centers are facilities designed for efficiency. Instead of one massive building, Bitdeer uses smaller, modular structures that house computers for processing tasks ranging from local AI workloads to network security.
The Shalersville Project
The Bitdeer Technology Information Center will be developed in two phases on approximately 257 acres within the Turnpike Commerce Center. At full buildout, the project includes 15 buildings totaling approximately 723,500 square feet.
Phase 1
• Approximately 147,500 sq ft
• 3 buildings (2 Technology Information Center halls + 1 office)
• Approximately 57.5 acres
• 34-month construction period
• 30 to 50 permanent full-time jobs
• No real estate tax abatement requested
Phase 2
• Approximately 576,000 sq ft
• 12 additional buildings (15 total)
• 60-month construction period
• Cumulative 150 to 200 permanent jobs at completion
• Construction begins after Phase 1 completion

The site sits within the Geis Companies–developed Turnpike Commerce Center, adjacent to the existing TCC Spec Industrial Building (1,021,998 sq ft) and the Viega Manufacturing Campus Phase 1 (247,000 sq ft). Site borders the Ohio Turnpike on the south.
